There are many ways of assessing one's degree of foreign language proficiency, each with it own advantages and drawbacks.

Clients beginning the Wave program are able sustain at one hour of reasonably fluid spoken exchange covering a range of topics: from everyday life and current events, to relatively more complex technical matters relating to their areas of professional expertise. Naturally many mistakes will be made – and that's a good thing: the mistakes show us where we need to focus our work. To begin the coaching, however, you should be able to make yourself understood, and to follow most of what your anglophone coach is saying.

This minimum threshold might correspond to a B2 or C1 reference level within the six-level scale of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) adopted by the Council of Europe. We provide our own assessment during the complimentary consultations we offer prospective clients. You can get in touch to schedule yours here.

We are a small boutique and are unfortunately not able to begin collaborations with all prospective clients, either because of the availability of coaches, or because we feel we might not be the best partner for the prospect for one reason or another.

Irrespective of coach availability, all qualified prospects are offered a complimentary consultation during which we will discuss your needs, provide an expert assessment of your current level in English and answer any questions you might have about our services.

Following this consultation, prospects are invited to complete an introductory series of 4 coaching sessions before beginning a long-term collaboration. This "Discovery series" of courses is an opportunity for us to get to know one another better, and for prospects to be sure the Wave approach is right for them.

We take our commitment to delivering transformative English language results very seriously, and want to ensure that our vision for private language coaching aligns with our future clients' expectations and goals.

We use a variable pricing model that takes into account the two distinct rhythms of our coaching program (an intensive preliminary phase, followed by a less intensive "maintenance" phase), as well as the year prospective clients joined the bar.

While we are proud to have been certified Qualiopi, the French National .... since 20XX, we are not a certifying training company, meaning we don't offer a certificate. For this reason, CPF is not accepted.
